“NAME THE CHARACTERS” CONTEST RULES
Scolab is holding the “Name the characters” contest on the Netmath website, from July 28 to August 10, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
- How to participate
1.1 To participate in the “Name the characters” contest, complete the following entry form: https://zfrmz.com/1gkhvOEwPaQWu3b7jl1a Note that entrants can only enter the contest once.
1.2 There will be a total of five (5) random draws from among the entrants who duly completed the form. The draw will take place on August 11, 2020, using Excel, under the supervision of a Scolab employee.
1.3 To be eligible for the draw, entrants must complete the entry form.
1.4 No purchase required.
1.5 A purchase does not increase the chances of winning.
1.6 The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
2.1 To be eligible to enter the “Name the characters” contest and the draw, entrants must reside in Canada or in the United States and be 18 years of age or over. If an entrant is under 18 years of age and wants to enter, they must have the form completed by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf.
2.2 By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules.
2.3 Scolab directors, officers and employees as well as those of their parent companies and subsidiaries, their sponsors and suppliers of materials or services for this contest, as well as the members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, mother, father, legal or de facto spouse) and any person residing with them are not eligible to enter the contest.
3.1 A Google Home Mini (value of $50), a Netmath class subscription (value of $240) that can be divided into several family subscriptions if requested by the winner when sending their mailing address, three gift packs from Netmath (value of $20 each).
3.2 The prize must be accepted as awarded, with no substitution. It is not transferable, cannot be sold and is not convertible to cash.
4.1 Five (5) random draws, among all the entrants who completed the entry form no later than August 10 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
4.2 To be declared a winner, the entrant whose name was randomly drawn must meet the eligibility criteria as described in point 2 of the contest rules. Failure to respect one or more of these conditions will automatically lead to disqualification and another random draw will be held to select a new winner.
4.3 If the selected entrant fulfills all of the above-mentioned conditions, they will receive an email within seventy-two (72) business hours of the draw announcing that they won and to validate their contact information.
4.4 Scolab cannot be held responsible for any failed attempt to contact the selected entrant.
4.5 If the selected entrant cannot be contacted by email within seventy-two (72) business hours of the draw, the entrant shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize and will be declared ineligible. Another entrant will be randomly drawn from among the other eligible entries until a new winner is declared.
- General rules
5.1 By entering the contest, entrants expressly acknowledge that the contest is not associated with, managed or sponsored by Facebook, Youtube or Google. Facebook, Youtube and Google are in no way responsible for the holding of this contest.
5.2 Any information provided on the form that is incorrect, incomplete, incompressible, fraudulent or contains false information will be automatically rejected.
5.3 The entrants and winners irrevocably release Scolab, Facebook, the sponsors and suppliers of materials or services for this contest, their affiliated companies as well as their respective directors, officers and employees (“Released Parties”) from any liability for damage or loss in connection with participating in this contest or in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize or in connection with any delivery of service in relation to said prize.
5.4 The winner accepts the prize without any legal or other guarantee from the Released Parties.
5.5 The winner authorizes the contest organizers to use their name, place of residence, image, photograph, voice, statements and/or presence for publicity or other purposes in connection with this contest, without any limitation in time, media or territory, without any form of compensation.
5.6 If the winner refuses to accept the prize, this releases the Released Parties from any responsibility and obligation toward the winner.
5.7 The Released Parties assume no responsibility for the failure of any website used for the purposes of the contest or for any technical problem or failure of any telephone network or line, online information system, server, access provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or transmission to be received due to technical or other problems, traffic on the Internet network or any website or any combination thereof, including damage caused to the entrant’s computer equipment or any other person in connection with participation in this contest.
5.8 The Released Parties assume no responsibility that could result from losses, delays, address errors, printing errors or any other error in connection with this contest.
5.9 The Released Parties assume no responsibility whatsoever in cases in which they are unable to act as a result of an act or situation that is unforeseeable or beyond their control, including strikes, lockouts or any other labour dispute at their location or at the location of organizations or businesses whose services are used in connection with the contest.
5.10 Personal information requested of the entrants as part of this contest will be used solely by Scolab or a third party authorized by Scolab in connection with the contest. This information will not be used for any other purpose without the consent of the entrants. By providing this information, entrants consent to its use for the purposes indicated.
5.11 In the event of non-availability due to factors beyond their control, the Released Parties reserve the exclusive and absolute right to substitute one prize for another of equivalent value and nature, and the winner shall have no recourse.
5.12 The contest rules are available on the Scolab website.
5.13 Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des cours et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
5.14 The contest is subject to Québec law. Void where prohibited.
