Make your students part of it!
Beginning yesterday and continuing until next Tuesday, teachers, students, and other math lovers have been exploring the various islands available on the explodingdots.org platform, trying to explode the greatest number of dots. And…KAPOW! There are already more than ONE MILLION PARTICIPANTS WORLDWIDE!
As the mathematician James Tanton – who popularized Exploding Dots – explains, the Global Math Week is a global event completely free of charge “propelled by an incredible community of teachers–across the globe simply wanting to share the human joy of mathematics with students, no matter the age level, no matter the curriculum demands. We truly are transcending borders through the beauty and power of joyful mathematics.” Scolab is very proud to collaborate! So, a big thank you to everyone for being so many to share with us this beautiful mathematical experience!
