Let’s Rewind!
For the Netmath team, 2017 was full of engaging events. We had the opportunity to organize several great projects that celebrated learning mathematics by mobilizing thousands, even millions, of teachers and students in Canada and around the world.
For the Netmath’s Can You Math? Challenge 2017, organized by our team, more than 95.000 students in Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec participated in the contest. All in all, they correctly answered 2.041.609 math questions adding up to the impressive total of 4.805.952 points pi in a top time of 30 minutes!
.
The Global Math Week allowed more than 3.5 million students and teachers around the world to discover math in a new light during this unique, astounding, and global event! By making the Exploding Dots experience – an original idea from James Tanton powered online by our team – accessible to everyone, the Global Math Project wants to democratize the joy of math. The result? See for yourself:
.
We also had the great pleasure of participating throughout the year in a variety of events that contributed to progressive thinking about education and the use of technology in classrooms.
